Cyprium as it was once known in the Roman era was originally mined on the island of Cyprus. Today we recognize this metal as copper. Copper was the first metal known to be used by humans long before the Romans worked with it. Our Cyprium ring pays homage to one of the oldest and newest materials by combining them into a beautifully crafted ring. Each ring is precision machined in three separate pieces on our human controlled lathe. This special ring starts with a prepreg carbon base just like all of our other rings so the quality is top notch. The Cyprium is .425" / 10.8mm wide. No coatings were used on this ring so we can maintain a high level of durability. This means your copper inlay will come with a satin finish and develop a unique patina over time. The "new" finish and "drawer patina" is shown in the pictures below. As you wear the ring you should expect to see some darkening of the copper over time and possibly even a greenish hue. This ring is available in size 7-12 in whole and half sizes. We do not offer 1/4 sizes at this time. If you don't know your size please visit a your local jeweler and get sized. This only takes a few minutes and most jewelers are happy to help you even if you don't buy from them. Please do not guess on your size so that you can start wearing your new ring right away. This ring is made to order and usually takes 2-3 weeks to ship.
